7 Signs You Have a Money Block and How to Clear It
Jul 07, 2026
You work hard. Harder than most people around you will ever know. You're good at what you do, your clients get real results, and still, money feels like a fight. It comes in and slips straight back out. You hit a certain number and can't seem to climb past it, no matter what you try. And underneath all of it there's this quiet, tiring feeling that maybe wealth is just for other women. The ones who make it look easy. Not you.
If that lands a little too close, here's the first thing I need you to hear. You don't have a money problem. You have a money story. And you didn't write it.
Most of what runs your relationship with money got installed before you were seven years old, long before you understood what money even was. You absorbed it from the tone in the room when the bills came. From the way the adults around you talked about people who had it. From what happened the one time you asked for something and got made to feel greedy for wanting it. You didn't choose those beliefs. You inherited them. And your subconscious has been quietly running them ever since, in the background of every price you set and every opportunity you flinch away from.
I call this the Wealth Wound. It has nothing to do with how clever you are or how hard you hustle. It's a set of beliefs about what money means and whether it's safe, allowed, and available to someone like you.
Here are seven signs it's running the show. Read them gently. This isn't a test you're failing.
1. You undercharge, and you drop your price before anyone even asks
You quote a number and immediately soften it. You throw in extras. You "give a little discount" to a client who never requested one. On some level, charging your full worth feels like an overreach, so you shrink the number to feel safe.
2. Money arrives, and then it vanishes just as fast
You have a good month, and suddenly the car breaks down, or the tax bill lands, or you make an impulse purchase that undoes it. It feels like the universe, but it's more often your own nervous system quietly returning you to the amount that feels familiar. Feast, then famine, on repeat.
3. Charging what you're worth makes you shrink
You over-explain your prices. You feel a flush of guilt when someone pays you well. Raising your rates feels less like good business and more like you're about to get caught doing something wrong.
4. You avoid your own numbers
You don't open the banking app. Bookkeeping fills you with a dread that's out of all proportion. You'd rather not know exactly what's coming in, because knowing feels like it might confirm something you're afraid of.
5. You keep hitting the exact same ceiling
You push harder, add more offers, work longer hours, and somehow land right back at the same income. It's not a strategy problem. It's a set point. Your subconscious has a number it believes is safe for you, and it works surprisingly hard to keep you there.
6. Part of you believes wanting more makes you greedy
You've absorbed the idea that money corrupts, that good people don't chase it, that being spiritual or kind and being wealthy don't belong in the same sentence. So you keep yourself a little broke to stay a good person. (You can be both. But that belief has to go first.)
7. You over-give and under-receive
You over-deliver on everything. You refund at the first hint of hesitation. You "just help" for free constantly. You're endlessly generous going out, and strangely blocked when it comes to letting money and support come back in.
If you found yourself nodding at three or four of those, take a breath. That's not a character flaw. That's a pattern. And patterns can be changed. (If you want to know which specific block is loudest for you, I've got a quick way to find out. Hold that thought.)
Why you can't budget your way out of this
Here's the part nobody tells you. You cannot budget, hustle, or affirm your way out of a subconscious belief.
You've probably tried. A new pricing strategy. A money-mindset book. A stack of abundance affirmations you repeat while a much older part of you quietly rolls its eyes. It doesn't hold, because you're working on the wrong level. The wound isn't living in your conscious mind where the affirmations are. It's living underneath, in the part that installed the rule in the first place. That's why willpower and positive thinking rarely stick. You're painting over a crack instead of repairing the wall.
Real change starts by finding the root sentence. So try this, right now, and don't edit yourself. Finish these out loud, fast: "Money is ___." "People with money are ___." "If I made a lot of money, ___."
Whatever tumbles out is the wound talking. That's the actual belief steering the ship. And you can't clear something you've never let yourself hear.
I know this one from the inside, by the way. For a long time I wanted more than I felt allowed to want, and I kept myself small to stay comfortable and likeable. Getting free of it wasn't about earning more. It was about becoming a woman who felt safe to receive.
Find out if the Wealth Wound is yours
That's exactly what my free quiz is for.
It's called the Subconscious Blocks Quiz. Eight questions, about three minutes. At the end it tells you which of the four blocks is running your patterns. The Wealth Wound, the Visibility Veil, the Worthiness Wall, or the Safety Ceiling. And then, because naming it is only the start, it hands you a free hypnosis session matched to your result, so you can begin clearing it that same day. If money's your block, that session is called Receive. It's yours, no cost, no catch.
You've spent long enough working harder on the outside. This is the work that actually shifts the number. Take the quiz, find your block, and let's start healing the wound underneath it.
